M1 Custom 2.4mm OD White 16AWG - (25ft)


Product Description

This is no ordinary 16AWG wire. It has been specially made for use in custom PC power supply cables. As you can see in the images, there is absolutely no writing or indentations on the wire. This was done so that there would be no chance of the contrasting letters and numbers bleeding through your artfully crafted cables.

The outside diameter is 2.4mm so that it helps to fill out the sleeve creating thick full looking cables. This can be a little more difficult to crimp compared to our 2mm OD wire, but the overall thicker cable appearance is preferred by some.

This wire is unusually easy to train (cable shaping) because of its special internal construction. So, that means this wire will hold its shape better than most, and will train faster.

The wire is intentionally packaged without a spool which reduces “memory” in the wire. Most wire is only sold on a small spool. This may be convenient for some, but for making custom cables that require precision lengths, this can be a problem. The problem is that each piece of wire from a small spool must be straightened out over and over again before it can be properly measured, cut and sleeved.

For projects that require bare wire, this white wire is also UV reactive.

Pro tip! It is highly recommended that white wire be used when sleeving with white, yellow or any other light colored sleeve. With that being said. there is no problem using this white wire with darker colored sleeve as long as it a good sleeve with a tight weave like MDPC-X Sleeve!

M1 16AWG is sold in 1 piece lengths up to 250 feet. Example; Order 4 x 25' sections, receive 1 x 100' piece length.

    This wire is a bit thicker than the standard wire used in most PSU but after sleeving it the looks and feels is very gorgeous since it looks more robust.

    The quality is top notch, a bit harder to work since it's thicker but at the same time is easier to rout it as it will retain the path easier.
